The Walking Dead is a good American post-apocalyptic horror television series created for television by Frank Darabont. This is based upon the comic book series, The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.
This series stars Andrew Lincoln as Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes that gets up right after being in a coma to find the world centered by "walkers", like the zombies of George A. Romero's horror movies. He sets away to find his family and other survivors along the way.
The series premiered on October 31, 2010, and is broadcast on the cable television channel AMC within the US. This first season premiered to wide acclaim and had been nominated for a number of awards, including the Best Television Series Drama at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. Based on its reception, AMC restored the series for a 2nd season of 13 episodes which premiered on October 16, 2011. Two episodes directly into the 2nd season, AMC declared that the show would return for a third season.
